Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane is the first Nepali and the 11th Director General of CPSC. Currently, he is the President of Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC). He is a certified project assessor, experienced project manager, TVET Expert, and a seasoned manager at a policy level. He has served as Member Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in Kathmandu, Nepal (2013-2016) prior to his appointment as CPSC DG. He was involved in the development and implementation of a National TVET Policy and TVET programs in Nepal.
He has delivered papers in a number of international TVET conferences, meetings, and seminars in the following countries: Australia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the USA. Similarly, presented papers on TVET in national and international training programs conducted by CPSC in all of its member countries.
He has also authored and co-authored journal papers and books on various areas of TVET, such as TVET Accessibility, TVET Financing, Gender and Equality in TVET, and Marketing of TVET.
Dr. Lamichhane earned a PhD and M. Phil on Education Leadership from Kathmandu University in Nepal. He has a degree on Educational Administration, Planning and Policy as a Humphrey/Fullbright Professional from Peabody College/Vanderbilt University, Tennessee, USA. He also studied Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management from TAFE, South Australia. He obtained his MBA and his Bachelor in Commerce degrees from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal.
